    Ever since 1983, our much loved MAGGI noodles has been made locally, giving only the best to our MAGGI lovers using the finest ingredients and top-notch quality.
    Just like making string hoppers at home, the flour is kneaded with salt and water to make fine dough. It is then fortified with calcium to make it nutritious. Once the flour is kneaded, it’s flattened into thin sheets and then pressed multiple times to make it even. Afterwards, the machine (Splitter) cuts the sheets into waves and is then folded into separate cakes, moulded and sent to pre-dry to reduce moisture and oil using hot air. The noodles are then cooked for a few minutes to give its unique flavor and aroma. Afterwards, it’s cooled with filtered air before packing.

    Our locally sourced ingredients that go into the MAGGI tastemaker is one of the core elements that gives our noodles that delicious flavor we all love.
    Spices such as

    • Black Pepper, Garlic, Aniseed, Coriander, Cumin, Fenugreek, Nutmeg, curry leaves

    which go into the tastemaker, are thoroughly checked against quality parameters before being hand-picked and then roasted.

    After this, they are ground, packed and sent to the Nestle factory. It is here that MAGGI noodles taste sachet is finally made, by adding carrots and leeks flakes to the freshly roasted spices and blended together. A distinctive feature that is highlighted here is that no MSG, artificial flavour enhancers or colours are added to the mix, making sure that the freshest and healthiest ingredients are given to our valuable customers

    Our SLS certified Maggi noodles have been a trusted household favourite in the country for decades, winning the hearts of Sri Lankan families. Our main noodle range, comprising Chicken and Curry variants are fortified with calcium and vitamin A.

    In response to local consumer preference for more natural and familiar ingredients, Maggi renovated its popular Chicken Flavoured Noodles to include eight popular local spices to enhance taste. The product contains vegetables, herbs and spices traditionally used in Sri Lankan kitchens like coriander, cardamom, turmeric, cumin, black pepper, nutmeg, fenugreek and aniseed.
